OK, I'm back. I think it's about time I explain myself. I am presently doing a night shift at work at the MAMI. It started at 11pm yesterday and goes on until 7am today. Not the most sociable of hours, I know, but it pays well, allows me to spend ages on the internet (when there aren't any problems with the instruments), and as I don't really need that much sleep it gives me something to do in those hours I would normally just be lying in bed thinking about what to dream about (are you following?). I have just had my first cappuccino of the night (lasted quite a long time today without), and I'll probably have another 3 before I finish my shift, which reminds me, I need to go to Aldi to buy some more of the cappuccino-powder tomorrow. Apart from coffee, my other weakness I've developed here in Mainz is for the Almigurts. These are joghurts of the gods. They are so good, they have earned the name "Almi-Orgasmus" in student circles. And that's what I have in front of me at the moment, the cup of coffee and an almigurt. You might think that I have a lot of spare time on my hands, and you'd be right. If everything is running smoothly I have 8 hours of shift to check my email, eat, and update my website (oh, and send SMSs to all the people back in hechtsheim). Normally this would be filled be a bit of reading of a novel and an attempt at completing work due in for this week. However, I have now finished all problem sheets for this semester and so have a smooth coast to the holidays (mid-feb to mid-apr). It is for this reason that I'm able to help some of my friends with their homework (any excuse to be locked away in a room with a spanish girl...). Well enough said for the moment, I'm starting to get a headache. Must go and get some more coffee and read a bit of my book.
